A New Favourite - Ring & Thimble Cottage (Penzance Cornwall)

Another UK holiday I won't forget. Ring and Thimble is a 5 star self catering cottage and oh my that is what it is. What to tell you this time as so much, let's start with the little things that make a difference. Freshly baked cream tea, with all the trimmings is left for you for a warm welcoming, believe me it's good. You are also given fresh veg (potato, garlic & onions) is what we got on the first day and to our surprise a new basket on the second with parsnips, cabbage and leeks. You are then free to help yourself to the freshly grown veg.
As for the accommodation, you can see from the photos what it has to offer. An arga in the kitchen which became our new best friend, log burner in the lounge, the biggest bed and a roll top bath what more can you ask for.
Added extra were all around the cottage, picnic basket, throws, binoculars, portable barbecue, bikes, I could go on but you really have to visit this place, location is perfect for the surrounding area too, walks, beaches, shopping and eating.

Antiques in Cornwall

As always I made a few more purchases on my travels, this time on the coast of Cornwall. The lantern was purchased from 1 of 2 antique shops in St Just, the light from Chapel Street Antiques Arcade in Penzance, there are some other great shops on this road too. The thimbles and pulley from Boathouse Antiques in St Buryan, easy to drive straight past so keep an eye out as it has some little gems.
